Prom-goers + Alcohol + Limo Driver = No Go

You gotta read this story!!! I heard about it on Glenn Beck this morning. I can not believe how the parents in this situation reacted.

HELLO their kids signed an agreement saying that there would be NO drinking and NO drugs in the limo and they did not abide by the agreement so they were taken home.

I just can't believe how they treated the limo driver. You would think that the parents would be grateful to him for holding up the agreement! Like it says in the article you know if something would've happened & the driver hadn't taken them back, they would've freaked!

It's not like we're talking about adults here...we're talking about highschoolers who are not legally allowed to drink!! I just can't believe these parents. How do you expect your kids to grow up and learn to abide by the laws of the country if you are supporting them breaking the laws!

It was a little refreshing to hear that at least ONE of the parents did get ahold of the limo driver & thank him for what he did!!

Hearing the story actually made me think about my senior prom. A group of my friends & I all rented a limo & it was HORRIBLE! The driver was like 45 mins. late getting there (we missed our dinner reservations). When he finally arrived....you could smell alcohol on his breath and the limo smelled like smoke...Needless to say it wasn't good.

We had rented the limo so that we wouldn't have to worry about driving a couple different cars to the resort the prom was being held at (45 mins. away)you know it seemed a lot safer than a bunch of teens driving back and forth. So we hire a "professional" driver & he shows up basically drunk!(oh by the way he was stumbling a little)

Of course our parents were like NOPE you aren't taking them anywhere. We kept our money and told him to leave! It was ridiculous. So we ended up having to drive a few different cars. It turned out to be ok. Luckily my uncle is the Executive Chef @ a REALLY nice restaurant near the resort so he got us in and we made it to prom with and hour left. (It kind of sucked because we missed pretty much all of our senior prom, but we made the most of it) And at least we all were safe!

Well that's my story! Sorry I know it wasn't exactly related to the story but I couldn't believe that story when I heard it today and it brought back the memories of our crazy prom night...so I had to post it!
