Korn...

"Korn has parted ways with guitarist Brian 'Head' Welch, who has chosen Jesus Christ as his savior, and will be dedicating his musical pursuits to that end," read a statement posted this week on the band's Web site.

I thought this was pretty cool! I thought it was very interesting how he said:
...he was becoming increasingly disenchanted with himself, producing heavy metal music that invoked dark and morbid images...

It definitely makes me think about what I listen to, because I know I've been in situations that I've liked certain songs and then listened to the words, and was blown away! (I didn't listen to THAT anymore!)

It's crazy how sometimes songs sound so great(beat & stuff) and then the
lyrics are just not something that you should be listening to! But I guess that's they way he wants it to be....(because if you knew what they were saying you wouldn't listen to it!

Best Week Ever

Best Week Ever...Have you seen this show?

It's on VH-1. It is soo funny! If you haven't seen it you have to check it out! It comes on Fri nights @ like 11. Yeah, I know most the time I'm not home @ that time either, but I just Tivo it!

They were talking on it last night, instead of M.I.L.Fs(Moms I'd Like to F***) they were talking about the D.I.L.F.s (Dads I'd Like to F***). It was so funny! (they were talking TV dads!) They have these commentators and they are all comedians (I think( because they are hilarious!) This one girl was like " Forgets D.I.L.F.s what about G.I.L.F.s (Granddads I'd Like to F***)" It was pretty funny! Gross but funny!

The show just pretty much sums up the past week in the entertainment world!

Like I said you should check it out or atleast Tivo!

Scary

I was watching a show today and I couldn't believe what I heard.

This lady was talking about how she made a decision after much research that she did not want to give her child any vaccinations. She said she went through a few different doctors until finally she found one that wouldn't turn her in to child protection agencies.

It is scary to me that people will (and can) turn you in and might have your children taken away for decisions you believe will help your child.

It just blows me away. You (in general) are trying to make the best decisions for your child and someone can take that away from you just because they don't feel that it is the best thing. HELLO it's not their child!!! How is it their right to tell you how to raise your kid?

I personally, don't think it is the best idea to not give your child the vaccines, there are a few that I think are pointless, (I haven't really researched it too much) but I would select which are more beneficial! I believe that it's MY child and that what I decide (informatively) is best for my child, should be what goes and not have to worry if my decision is going to be questioned by a person that has no relevance in my or my child's lives!

I know there are people out there that don't care about what goes on with their kids that need to be turned in to the child protection agencies, but it's ridiculous to me that someone would turn in a person that is devoting so much into parenting their child.

It brings me to the point in think that maybe I don't want to bring a child into this world (I am no means ready for one now, but in the future I don't know). I've always thought I would have kids, but so many things that I'm seeing are just making it worse.

Where will this stop?? How is it anyone's business how I decide to raise my child?? Just because my ideas don't match up with others ideas, I should be punished and have my child taken away??

Why should I bring a child into a world and then have a risk that someone will decide my parenting isn't "right" and then take my child away. What gives them that right?

I can say one thing, I am glad that I can sit and think about these things before I do decide to have a kid. I couldn't imagine having a kid before I decide what I thought would be the best for my child. I want to make sure that I know exactly what values, parenting skills, etc. I want for my child before I have one!

Maybe I am trying to plan too much, but to me it would be too scary to all of a sudden get pregnant and not know what to do and only have 9 months to decide all of this stuff. Isn't it important to know these things ahead of time?

By no means, do I think everything will go exactly to plan, who knows, as I experience things my views on certain issues might change, but at least I had an idea on it ahead of time to decide yes or no.

Also, I'm not saying that I'm going to plan each year of my child's life out, I just think you have to have a basic idea and plan along with your husband to know what you are going to do.

Well, that's that!

My review of the Superbowl

I was going for the Patriots even though they aren't "my team!" Is Brady good looking or what?

Ok, so I'll start at the beginning. IT was so great to see the opening show when the students from the Florida School of the Deaf and Blind chorus sang/signed with Alicia Keys.

It really hit close to home, because St. Augustine is like my second home and I have a special place in my heart for the deaf(I have family that is deaf).

So that was cool to see. Ok, now to the toss......

WHAT WAS THAT ABOUT?¿? They gave the coin to this kid to toss (which is fine I bet he was excited to do that) but the kid didn't even toss is....he pretty much just dropped it. It didn't even flip once. So it stayed on heads and the Eagles got the ball first.

The Patriots played pretty good. But I will hand it to the Eagles they were all over Brady! I personally thought that the Patriot's defense gave McNabb to much time to throw the ball.

There were a couple bad calls in the Eagles favor and the Patriots still pulled it off, so....it turned out good!

To the commericals........

I thought they were pretty good. My all time favorite was the Anheuser Busch where they thanked the troops. I got all teared up and at the end when it said at who's commerical it was I was like "What does it say?" I couldn't even read it! I thought it was the best commerical!!

My top 3 favorites (other than the previous) was the FedEx one, the Bud Light skydiving one, and the Ameriquest Taser one was pretty funny too! You can see all of the commericals here !!

Half Time......

Well, sorry to say but the music (Paul McCartney) was pretty boring!!! SAFE but boring! Although the visuals were pretty cool. I liked how they had NANANA "written" in the stands. The half time was definately no where near last year's half time show!! (hehehe)

Well, that's about it! Hope everyone didn't lose too much $$!
Here's one more picture.....

I just realized this last night, but New England has a lot of very good looking guys on their team(#12,#83,#50 are the only ones I can remember rigth now, but I know there were a few more...)!!!

That's it!
