New look

I decided to change the look of this a little bit. I was getting kind of tired of the dark colors. I wanted something a little lighter.

I'm not sure how much I like this template but it was a quick change. I'm gonna see if I can find one I like a little better. Although, who knows maybe it'll grow on me.

Holier-than-thou

What gives people the right to act like this?

Ok so I was on a friend's blog earlier & thought ok I haven't commented in awhile why don't I just say something real quick today. So I proceed to click the Comment button and scroll through the perviously posted comments to the bottom to add my own. Before I could reach the bottom I read this comment

"I like the quote too, but why did a gay lady have to quote it???"

This was in reference to a quote that I will not add simply because that is not the purpose of my post. I just find it completely ignorant that someone could say such a thing. I can not fathom how this comment has anything to do do with this quote because it had absolutely nothing to do with a person sexual orientation.

By no means am I saying this to be politically correct, because I believe politically correctness is a bunch of crap. I just honestly think it's crazy that someone can feel so much more worthy than someone else to make such a statement. Honestly, where is it their place to say that?

Now I don't want to come acrossed like I am any better than the commentee because I know I've said things that probably aren't the most humble. I just think that we all need to think about what we say before we say it. ALSO, need to realize that making statements about things that are completely irrelavant is just ignorant. Maybe we should make sure our own comments have relevance before we post them.

This world is only going down hill fast, but maybe we could slow down the pace of a little if we all just thought about our stupid statements before we say them.

And that's my rant.

*Note: Not that it matters, but I am straight and believe it or not I am a Christian. I know that might be suprising to some that a straight Christian could even slightly be annoyed by the statement that was commented but it's true. That's where we all have to think about steorotypes. Because I know that the sterotypes said about Christian would not back up my feelings, but that's what you get with sterotypes, right?
